Jihad! The Musical, which features songs including Building A Bomb Today, and I Wanna Be Like Osama, is expected to open at the Jermyn Street Theatre early in the New Year. It provoked a row when it was first performed at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2007, just five weeks after Muslim fundamentalists drove a blazing car into Glasgow airport.
Ben Scheuer, composer and co-lyricist, said: “I see the show as a comedy that sends up the fear-mongering surrounding the war on terror. I would invite people to come and make their decisions. We are making fun of the US media.”
