The Taliban in Pakistan have released the first visual evidence that their former leader Baitullah Mehsud is dead, reported the BBC Wednesday afternoon.
Analyst Rustam Shah Momand told SAMAA that it had become clear that Baitullah Mehsud was indeed dead.
The Taliban have been weakened by the strong military operation against them, he told SAMAA. The future of the Taliban depends on the efficiency of the new leadership in handling the Tehreek-e Taliban Pakistan. The military operation against the Taliban is at its peak in Pakistan and the coalition fighting against terrorism will force Pakistan to continue this operation. The Western coalition will not allow Pakistan to end this military operation in any way.
